What is a cloud, web based point of sale system?
A Cloud based or web based point of sale system is a point of sale system
that stores all data in servers spread out all over the world. This enables
access to this information from wherever you are.
Positive Live has software modules that are installed either at both the shop and head office level (for multi-store organisations) or just at shop level (for single store businesses.) Reports are provided via a web portal that can be accessed with all standard browsers. These reports can be accessed from any PC, Mac, iPhone or iPad with internet access.
Can I work if my internet connection is down?
Positive Live is built in way that enables true offline operation when your internet connection is down. If your internet connection drops, Positive Live will identify it and all information will be saved locally on the shop’s computer. Once the internet connection is resumed, all the information will be synchronized automatically between the shop and the Cloud. One of the reports available to you as a manger is a report that indicates whether all your shops are connected and updating.
What hardware or software do I need?
Because Positive Live is web based solution, all you need for your shops and head office is a basic entry level Windows based computer, and standard point of sale equipment - Cash drawer, receipt printer, bar-code scanner (optional). If you have already purchased hardware, you will, most likely, be able to continue using it.
What are the setup costs of the Positive Live?
Positive Live installation is free of charge. The payment for the service and support starts from as low as $39 a month. We improve and add features to Positive Live on a regular basis according to customer’s needs and requests. You will get added features and improvements free of charge. New features will be downloaded automatically when they are released.
How should I backup my data?
Since Positive Live is a cloud based solution, all the information from all the shops is being sent to our servers. The servers are being replicated and backed up continuously which means all your information is safe and you don’t need to do worry about it.
